The 43 Gangster Crips (43GC) also known as the 4-Tray Gangster Crips are a gang located on the East Side of South Los Angeles, California.
The 43s formed in the 1970s by members of Eastside Crips but the name was based off the 83 Eight Trey Gangstas.
The 4-Tray Gangster Crips consist of two cliques the South Side 43 Gangster Crips and the East Side 43 Gangsta Crips. The 43s have alliances with the Trey Card and the Gangsta card, but they have also been known to make alliances with NHCs or Rollin card gangs. While this alliance is usually forbidden in the gang world, it's not uncommon for rival gangs to come together to fight common enemies.
The 43s main Crip rivals are the 40 Avalon Crips. Their fued has been going on over 40 years and was featured on an episode of LA Gang Wars on A&E where the show tried to initiate a peace treaty between the two gangs but was unsuccessful.
