Crip Gangs: East Coast Crips ECC
The East Coast Crips ECC is an alliance of several different gangs in Los Angeles County.
The creation of the Eastside 62 Street Crips around 1974, spawned the alliance now known as the East Coast Crips. Many of the gangs that joined the East Coast Crip’s alliance had already existed since the early 1970s under different names, such as the Q102 Towne Street Boys and the 69 Shack Boys, so even though 62nd Street may be one of the first sets to put East Coast on it, they are not the oldest gang in the East Coast Card. Many of the East Coasts Crips sets also have a second alliance either with the Neighborhood Crips or Blocc Crips.
The following is a list of all the East Coasts sets in Los Angeles County. 1st Street ECC, 59 ECC, The Six Pac (62 ECC, 66 ECC, 68 ECC, 69 ECC), 76 ECC, 89 ECC, Q102 ECC, 118 Blocc ECC and 190 ECC. 190 ECC is the largest gang in Carson, California and this area is also called Del Amo).
The East Coast Crips gang territory is located mostly along the 110 freeway in Los Angeles, and the street next to the freeway is called Grand Ave, so ECC members might also call themselves "Grand Gang" or "Grand Ave Gang".
The ECCs have alliances with NHC Neighborhood Crips and Blocc Crips. The East Coasters ECCs have a fued with Latino gang Florencia 13 due to a rumored drug transaction gone bad in the early 2000s, and the two gangs have been at war over territory since then.
