ETG started on 83rd Street and spanned north and south stretching from about Gage to Century, covering about the same area as the old boundaries of the West Side Crips. Over the years, ETGs formed several sub-groups including the Original South Side, Deep South Side, Bacc West Side, Far West Side and Nutty North Side. A section of their turf extends west past Western Avenue where St Andrews Park is located.
One of 83s main rivals is the Inglewood Family Gangsta Bloods, but the 83s are infamous for their Crip on Crip fued with the Rollin 60s Crips, the neighborhood just to the west of Eight Trey hood. The beef, started in the 1980s, has been one of the most violent and notorious in gang history and it forced many Crips sets to choose sides and align with either 83s and the Gangstas or 60s and the Hoodstas (NHCs).
In 2019, there were peace talks between these gangs after over 30 years of feuding. However, the fued has now become bigger than just these two gangs and having real Crip unity can only come with ending the fued between Gangsta sets and Hoodsta sets.
